The great Bunny Wailer passed last week, the last of the Wailing Wailers, the greatest reggae group of all time, he was 73 years old. Over the years Jah Bunny resolutely held strict control of his catalogue via his label Solomonic and only recorded sporadically over the last 20/30 years, but from his startling debut album “Blackheart Man” in 1976 and over the following two decades his output was of the highest quality peaking with the wonderful “Rock & Groove” set in 1981, plus a host of top 7” and 12” single releases in Jamaica. In 2010 On the Wire paid tribute to Jah Bunny with two shows assembled by the show’s great friend Noel Hawks. Here they are again as we remember the great man. Jah Bless Bunny Wailer R.I.P.
