On the Wire on the BBC

 Good news is that On the Wire is back on the BBC. Bad news is that we are only on air four times in 2021. You’ll find us on Bank Holidays .....
 

We have not received any statement from the BBC to explain why this a good idea, so here’s a recent quote from the acting manager at BBC Radio Lancashire:
 

“BBC local radio has moved to a simplified schedule. With our new format we’re not able to have a weekly programme. The idea of the quarterly show was to keep the bond with the programme so that if the situation changed in the future we would still have contact.”
 

So, we are hoping and aiming to be back in our weekly slot in 2022. In the meantime we will continue on Mixcloud at www.mixcloud.com/otwradio
